“May your coming year be filled with magic and dreams and good madness. I hope you read some fine books and kiss someone who thinks you’re wonderful, and don’t forget to make some art — write or draw or build or sing or live as only you can. And I hope, somewhere in the next year, you surprise yourself.”—
Do you have a picture of your chintz-covered diary? That sounds beautiful! Also, I hope you have a wonderful 2012, you deserve it! Thanks for giving me so many hours of happy reading and tumblin' in 2011!
Awwww I could take one. It’s from Paperchase and is blue and flowery and lovely!! :D
Thank you so much. The same to you. Here’s to a lovely 2012 with lots of things to smile about.
You’re so very welcome - I’m pleased I managed to contribute to your procrastination time ;)
So, this horrible year isn’t being bid a farewell ala The Holiday (with tears and valium) but it isn’t getting a fond goodbye either.
For me, it has been a rather awful and horrific year and one I’ll be extremely happy to see the back of.
I somehow still have positivity stored somewhere that things will get better and 2012 will signal a change for me and equal something lovely - I’m just excited to begin writing in my new chintz covered diary ;)
I wish all of you the same thing. I hope this year brings something you want and at least one development that makes you truly happy. I don’t think that’s too much to hope for. I hope you do wonderful things and do them with those that make you smile.
Thank you to everyone I’ve spent time with on here and for your creativity, humour, company and madness :) Thank you for all the kindness and encouragement about my writing. I am looking forward to spending 2012 with you all and promise (as far as tumblr is concerned) plenty of writing to share with you all.
Have a lovely night and if you’re alone, know that you’re not - not really - and know that I’ve had an even more depressing new year’s once. I spent it ironing my clothes and watching TV alone in my flat not even remembering it was midnight - hahahahaha how tragic.
Best Wishes for 2012 (and even though I’ll no doubt send something when it is ACTUALLY the new year!)
Just wanted to let you know that your Andeberry 'verse is by far my favourite of all the ones that have been going around lately :) Stay awesome xx
Awww you’re so very sweet. Thank you! I’m DEFINITELY continuing with it and am juggling it alongside my new WIP. It’s still very dear to my heart and I have half of the next one written - it’s too much fun to NOT write ;)
Thank you for what you said and I’m so glad you’re enjoying them! <3
“I may sound old-fashioned, but I want to think all women should be treated like I want my wife, daughters, and granddaughters to be treated. I notice today that good manners—like standing up when a woman enters the room, helping a woman with her coat, letting her enter an elevator first, taking her arm to cross the street—are sometimes considered unnecessary or a throwback. These are habits I could never break, nor would I want to. I realize today a lot more women are taking care of themselves than in the past, but no woman is offended by politeness.”—Frank Sinatra (via modernhepburn)
